This magnetic step-phased array would be engineered for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) by velocity tuning the tangential velocity of the traveling B1 pulse.
The B0 field that magnetizes the copper array is adjusted to produce various NMR frequencies.
The adjustment of the center NMR frequency may be used to scan over an infinite range of frequencies while the NMR resonance is maintained on a sliding harmony.
The resultant plot of the measured parameters at play during the frequency-scan will include an artifact of the nucleosonic interplay. With luck and long life the category theory will create a histogram of all concurrent timing elements per unit of resolution (like a histogram of colors in a bitmap image, but rather of timing jitter variation in the oscillator).
